PlayStation removing Discovery content from all users in the future

Sony has caused massive concern after it announced that all Discovery network content will be removed from player libraries by the end of the year.

The company released a statement on its official website stating it intends to remove all Discovery content that users have already paid for by the end of the year:


The website also provided a list of all the video content that will be removed, which is roughly said to be about a thousand titles.

This triggered massive backlash online and serves as one of the primary reasons why digital media is despised – the fact that it can be taken away from consumers at any time for any reason.

The aforementioned statement also made no mention of any potential refunds.
