Sony has confirmed that Playstation Now, their video game streaming service, is going to enter open beta today in North America.

Featured above, you can view a walkthrough video of sorts that gives a pretty thorough rundown of what to expect with the service. The open beta is launching with over a hundred titles to rent, and more will come in time.

There will be varying lengths of time to rent the titles, ranging from 7-days, 30-days, or 90-days, to even a short 4-hour trial. Trophies, friends lists, leaderboards, cloud game saves and so on are all supported in Playstation Now.

Naturally, if a game has downloadable content, you’ll be able to access that in Playstation Now as well.

If you’re still holding out hope for a subscription type model (like Playstation Plus), PlayStation Now senior director Jack Buser has this to say:

In addition, we’ve heard you loud and clear for an update on a PS Now subscription option and want to reassure you that we are working on it. We think PS Now represents the next step toward the future of gaming and we’re excited to have the PlayStation Nation come along with us on the beginning of this journey.

Are you guys excited to get a chance to try out Playstation Now?
