Miyazaki showed off his newest creation, Bloodborne, during today’s Playstation Experience show, focusing mainly on the game’s randomly generated dungeon and how co-op play works within it.
Speaking of the procedurally generated dungeon, Miyazaki stated that the dungeon changes appearance based on the appearance of the player. He also mentioned that he had two goals he aimed for when creating it: one, to keep it fresh by relying on the randomness; and two, giving players the freedom to choose who they share their individual dungeons with.
The demo also revealed the first boss, a giant flaming guard dog which was taken down in co-op by two players working together.
This is but one dungeon in the town of Yarnum, which according to Miyazaki, consists of 10 different areas of play, along with this randomly generating dungeon.
