Playstation All-Stars Gets a Massive Update Featuring Over a Hundred Changes

In a surprising reveal, Sony Santa Monica and whatever is left of Superbot Entertainment have put out a pretty massive update for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, their ambitious and yet failed party/mascot brawler that featured iconic Playstation characters.

The update, titled the “Ultimate Balance Update,” comes with various updates and balance tweaks like an improved throwing system, improved air dodges, improved directional rolls, improved supers, and over a hundred balance updates across all of the game’s characters.

While Sony Santa Monica has since said that they have “no plans” to release new content for the game, this is saddening when we saw a planned Gravity Rush and Journey themed stage, as well as art showing that Dart from Legend of Dragoon was planned as a playable character at one point.

When they did comment on the leaked concept art, they said:

“While we considered many characters during development and even created concept art for a number of characters and environments that were being explored during the game’s development phase, including Dart.”

Is this huge balance patch enough to bring you back into Playstation All-Stars? Do you think it’s worth it for Sony to explore a sequel in the future?
