Sony has announced PlayStation 5 shipments have topped 41.7 million units worldwide in their latest sales report.

The new milestone was reached in the fiscal period ending on June 30th, 2023. This means a total of 3.3 million units were moved in that period, up from the 38.4 million milestone in April.

Sony also shared more stats in their report:

• PlayStation Plus subsribers are estimated to be around 47.4 million users, which is roughly the same amount of subscribers from a year ago.
• A total of 108 million active monthly users are on the PlayStation Network
• PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 have sold a combined 56.5 million pieces of software, 6.6 million of which were first party games.
