Despite our recent article talking about the popularity of Xbox One vs. Playstation 4 on social networking site Facebook, it seems like the real numbers to look at are still sales.

The numbers from last month via the NPD Group have confirmed that Playstation 4 is the top selling console in North America for the fifth month straight. The console rose up to a 95% percent year over year total of $586 million dollars, followed by its software sales also rising up to 57% percent, for a total of $274 million.

A few standout titles that sold remarkably well are the likes of Mario Kart 8 for Wii U (which helped boost the platform’s sales), and Watch Dogs.
