We’ve learned that Playstation 4 is finally getting custom user interface themes with the upcoming system software 2.00.
PlayStation social media manager Sid Shuman confirmed the news on the PlayStation Blog podcast:
“There was the system software update 2.00, which is going to bring a lot of cool new stuff. Themes, PS4 getting YouTube support, not only an app, but you’ll be able to broadcast onto YouTube… and the big one is Share Play.”
Sony announced system update 2.0 for Playstation 4 during their Gamescom press conference, which broadcasted this week. They didn’t confirm themes at that time, but they did mention other things, like the aforementioned, direct to Youtube broadcasting, as well as Share Play, their new form of online couch co-op.
Are you guys excited to finally customize your Playstation 4’s UI?
