Playism has announced they’re publishing Japanese indie studio Peakvox’s darling little PC shooter, Gocco of War.
The game will be released for PC via Steam (and via Playism’s own store) on November 18th, and it will cost $19.99. Featured above, you can view a new overview trailer for the game.
Gocco of War features a VR-based, online theme park of sorts, and it takes place in a semi-futuristic world 100 years from now in which air has become a commodity, and children play indoors within a virtual reality environment.
Players can expect to utilize guns, swords, and more as they journey together between levels and the online lobbies, which can hold over 30 players. You can also select your clothes, upgrade your weapons, customize your icons, make new friends, and more.
In case you missed it – you can read our interview with the developers at Peakvox, where we talk up the game’s origins, its mechanics, the cultural differences between Japan and the west, and more.
For now, you can find Gocco of War here on Playism and here on Steam.
