It doesn’t take much to trigger someone these days. When mouth-breathing internet dwellers happened to discover female character models in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds had visible camel toe, they took to the streets with pitchforks and torches demanding the visible vulvas be removed else there would be blood.
The game’s developer, Korean studio Bluehole, has heard the cries of the armchair warriors and has sworn to remove the offending vulvas from the game before its full launch next week. PlayerUnknown himself responded:
“After looking into this, it appears it came as part of the character model we received from an outsourcer when we first started the project. The file itself has not been changed in 2 years. It will be updated shortly with changes! Sorry for any offense caused!,” he said on Twitter.
It’s worth mentioning the offending vaginas were on a test server for the game and it wasn’t clear if they would actually make it into the full game.
Regardless, the world is once again saved from lawless debauchery that will forever taint the minds of innocents. Sleep easy knowing digital polygons that make up a digital vulva won’t offend your pure eyeholes.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently still in development, however it’s available via Steam Early Access and via the Xbox Game Preview program on Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 version is still up in the air as developer Bluehole is reportedly in talks of extending their console exclusivity with Microsoft. The full 1.0 release is set for December 20th.
