Platinum Games Possibly Teasing The Wonderful 101 on Nintendo Switch

Platinum Games are teasing new stuff for the Nintendo Switch once again, if another curious image posted by the company is anything to go by.

The developer posted the below image, which has characters from the game playing what seems to be a Nintendo Switch – make note of the Joy-Cons being used in the controller adapter.

Here’s a look at the image:

The developer previously teased Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 for the console, however this teaser is much more blatant in nature.

We’ll keep you guys posted.

So if this and Bayonetta 2 happens, nobody better tell me to get a Wii U.

I just said yesterday that if W101 comes to switch I would have no reason to get a Wii U… I think I might have to buy a Switch now

SEQUEL! SEQUEL! SEQUEL! SEQUEL! SEQUEL! SEQUEL!

Please dear lord, let this be a sequel! The first game was sooooooooooooo freaking Hype, and I want the series to continue.

Hell, they could do like they did with Bayo 2 and let you get the 1st game when you purchase the 2nd.

They really do need to make that happen.

Kamiya, one of the greatest modern developers, wasted four years trying to make Scalebound happen.

    Bayonetta 2 sucks.

Wonderful 101, however, is one of the best games ever made.

    The original was way better.

You Nintendo fanboys can’t tell me otherwise.

You can’t go back to Bayo 1 after Bayo 2. Bayo 2 did everything better.

There is potential story-wise at least (going to Jerginga’s planet, dealing with how the future 101 force becomes invaders in the future, etc).

It’s a shame it didn’t sell better- but the gameplay style (controling your “tail” of troops combined with speed of action games like this) makes it harder to master even for people into those games, so it makes some sense.

And under Treehouse’s clutches? No thanks.

They’re even working on censoring at source according to OneAngryGamer.

Hope they do a Bayonetta and make a sequel + port of the first.

Basically. The Switch feels like a realisation of the better aspects of the Wii U while trimming the fat.

If we get this and Bayonetta 2, there’s is officially no reason to chase down a Wii U. Thank christ, because that stupid fucking Leapfrog tablet controller makes it a nightmare to find a decent price on a used system.

They’ve already said they’re making the first game that they’re publishing on their own. Chances of them giving up their independence are less than ever, thankfully.

I’ll wait till it gets the three Mario games from that console. Then the Switch’s name makes even more sense.

I don’t get why people defend Bayonetta 2 so much: It’s blatantly worse than the original.

Why would you be looking for a Wii U at this point? The whole reason the Switch is here is because the Wii U bombed.

But the Switch is not dual-screen is it? You’re not supposed to have a secondary screen with the gamepad(console) like the WiiU. The console undocked is just for playing it off-TV, right?
Just like BotW on the WiiU makes no use of the screen on the gamepad, because in essence it is a Switch game and not a WiiU one.

They can just release an attachable screen for the joy cons and it’ll be the same thing.

I was looking outta curiosity at the beginning of the year. As much of a dumpster fire as the system was, there were a few great game which you needed it to play. If these Platinum ports are real, that’s no longer going to be the case soon.

Slightly. I think they should’ve reversed it a bit and made it so the tablet streamed to the TV instead so the games could be better ported from the WiiU to the Switch.

IMO they should’ve just stuck some decent hardware in the dock instead of just a fan. Sure it would’ve jacked up the price, but they could’ve also released it as an “enhanced dock!” or some bull for people who wanted a more powerful console instead of the half baked one we got.

I know, still saying Platinum X Nintendo anything is a joke and good salt material since Bayo 2

they so also have said they have project for Switch on the work. so I Hope is B2 port and W101 sequel

They can, but as far as we are now, it doesn’t seem likely that they would do that.
And it would be really cumbersome to walk around with two tablets.
