Planet Zoo

Frontier Developments have announced the Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack, the latest DLC pack for their popular zoo management sim.

The Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack releases on June 21st for $9.99. The base game has been available for Windows PC (via Steam) since 2019.

As its name implies, the Conservation Pack is all about conservation and sustainability. This new DLC pack includes 5 new endangered species to add to your zoo: Przewalski’s horse, amur leopard, scimitar-horned oryx, siamang, and axolotl. The DLC also adds over 150 new scenery pieces, predominantly consisting of eco-friendly options like vibrant foliage and plants.

There is also a new challenge map where you are tasked with running the Turtlerock Wildlife Orphanage. Inspired by the real-life Gorkhi Terelj National Park in Mongolia, your goal is less about making a profit, and more about educating the public about conservation, global sustainability, and the rescue, rehabilitation, and release rare wildlife.

Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack

Introducing the Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack! Learn about the critical role zoos take in helping the planet as you expand your own zoo with five endangered animals: Przewalski’s horse, amur leopard, scimitar-horned oryx, siamang, and axolotl.

Embrace a more sustainable future using 150+ stunning scenery pieces based on themes of re-wilding and natural resource management. Create a haven of wild meadow plants and food plots with appealing new scenery pieces. Construct stunning habitats and buildings from environmentally friendly materials. Take on a challenging new scenario in Mongolia’s Turtle Rock Wildlife Orphanage and rescue animals in need.

Rehouse five at-risk species from around the world: Przewalski’s horse, amur leopard, scimitar-horned oryx, siamang, and axolotl. All under threat, conservation organisations are currently working on helping these amazing animals recover from climate change, poaching, and habitat degradation.

Look out for brand new behaviours. Siamangs can gather and perform new chorus calls, and use their long limbs to nimbly swing from metal climbing frames. Your guests will go wild for these playful gibbons!

Set your zoo up for a sustainable future with a range of eco-friendly scenery and vibrant foliage. Place sweeping meadows, swaying sunflowers, fruiting fig trees and elegant Korean pine, and pick an array of ecologically clean buildings, from responsibly sourced wooden sheds to recycled glass outhouses. Add extra authenticity and celebrate the inner working of your zoos with realistic behind-the-scenes props such as garden forks, wheelbarrows, water hoses and brooms.

Turtlerock Wildlife Orphanage needs your help. Based on the stunning Gorkhi Terelj National Park in Mongolia, profit is an afterthought as you primarily aim to rescue, raise, document and release as many species as possible. Power your zoo using renewable energy, foster plant diversity, and teach your visitors the importance of sustainability. Are you up to the task?
