We’ve learned that Pikmin 4 is in development and “very close to completion,” via an interview between Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto and Eurogamer.
“It’s actually very close to completion,” Miyamoto said to Eurogamer in the interview. “Pikmin teams are always working on the next one.”
Nintendo also reiterated the news to Eurogamer at a later time, in a separate statement:
“We can confirm that Pikmin 4 is in development but that is all we can confirm at present.”
It’s worth mentioning Nintendo and Miyamoto failed to mention what platform Pikmin 4 is in development for, but like Eurogamer, we’re expecting it to be for Wii U, considering it’s near completion.
