While Cuphead has been out for a little while now and various forms of merchandise are being announced for the game, many fans simply want a physical copy of the throwback run-and-gun action game. Now, we’ve learned that Studio MDHR is happily obliging grognards like myself as they’re planning a physical release for the game.

The news comes via a response to a fan that simply asked for a physical release, over on Twitter.

The developer responded by confirming “We have plans — and will eventually have a physical release (collector’s edition, etc)!”

So there you have it – a physical release is coming however we might not hear anything about that (pricing, PC or Xbox One, contents for the CE, etc) for awhile.
