VTuber company Phase Connect has announced that they are terminating their association with Fuura Yuri after “multiple, repeated breaches of the Phase Connect talent contract“.

The announcement came just as Yuri would be celebrating one year with the company. Yuri was part of “Phase Invaders” along with Kaneko Lumi. Both Yuri and Lumi had previously been a part of CyberLive and were allowed to keep their characters and assets when they graduated from the company.

Their time as independent VTubers was short-lived and they both joined up with Phase Connect. This history with CyberLive and as an independent has caused some fans to criticize Phase Connect’s statement where they claim that Yuri’s social media accounts (including YouTube) will be taken offline.

Phase Connect is largely associated with the talent Pipkin Pippa; although it’s worth remembering that the company has plenty of other VTubers in their employ.
