Petit Planet closed beta launches in November

Petit Planet

Developer miHoYo announced details for the first playtest for Petit Planet, their recently announced “cosmic life simulation game” for multiple platforms.

The game’s “Coziness Test” is set to launch early next month, on November 7th for both PC and iOS devices. Signups are still available on the game’s official site.

Here’s more details on the closed beta:

Guided by the slogan “Weave Your Dreams Beneath the Stars,” the game turns planets into creative canvases where players can express themselves freely while embarking on an idyllic yet adventurous journey alongside distinctive Neighbors and kindred spirits from different planets. The closed beta will be available on PC and iOS starting November 7, and aspiring players can sign up by completing the survey on the official website planet.hoyoverse.com.

In Petit Planet, players are entrusted to nurture a planet of their own and build connections with different planets scattered across the starry sky. The journey begins on each player’s planet, where fuzzy neighbors can connect their own Planettes to it. As bonds deepen and planets flourish, Luca, the planet’s vitality, shall shape different landscapes and brim with life and energy for each unique planet.

The idyllic life in Petit Planet is filled with creativity, companionship, and exploration. Cultivate and receive unexpected harvests beneath the stars, fish in crystalline waters, comb the beach and shallows for rare catches, or even unlock tasty recipes with bold mixes of ingredients. As curiosity guides your daily activities, your bond with Neighbors who were invited to settle on the planet also deepens. Each of them bears their own stories and dreams and contributes to the vitality and growth of the planet. When you embark on Starsea Voyages to unexplored Islets in your vehicle, these Neighbors serve as your most reliable companions.

As HoYoverse’s first entry in the life sim genre, Petit Planet introduces social and multiplayer gameplay that turns the galaxy into a lively place. In the closed beta Coziness Test, players will be able to gather at the Galactic Bazaar, an ever-bustling social hub where they can forge unexpected friendships, chat over a cup of coffee, and sync their dance moves to cheerful melodies in cooperative rhythm mini-games, filling the cosmic stage with shared joy.

With endless possibilities and encounters waiting across the vast universe, the journey of Petit Planet has only just begun. Beyond the upcoming closed beta, Petit Planet is actively expanding its multi-platform development and enhancing its social gameplay to create a more community-driven experience that allows players to seamlessly embark on shared adventures and deepen their bonds beneath the gleaming stars.

The closed beta Coziness Test for Petit Planet will be available on PC and iOS starting November 7. Sign-ups will remain open on the official website planet.hoyoverse.com until further notice from the official channels. A limited number of players will be selected from those who successfully complete the survey to receive beta access.

Petit Planet is in development for Windows PC and smartphones with “additional platforms currently in development.”
