Persona 5 series has topped 10 million copies

Persona 5

Atlus has announced Persona 5 and all its various spinoffs and re-releases have accumulated a whopping 10 million copies sold.

It’s worth noting Persona 5 by itself has sold over 3.2 million copies worldwide, on all platforms – while all its spinoffs make up for the rest of the sales figures.

Originally released back in September 2016 for PS3 and PS4, Persona 5 was later re-released with an upgraded port on PS4 titled Persona 5 Royal in 2020. It was later ported to more platforms on PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PS5 in 2022.

The main game itself was successful and spawned a number of spinoffs, including:

  • Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight (2018)
  • Persona 5 Strikers (2020)
  • Persona 5 Tactica (2023)
  • Persona 5: The Phantom X (TBA)

Atlus also shared a new commercial for the Persona series with official brand ambassadors Jun Shison and Haruna Kawaguchi:
