Atlus has released the third “Morgana’s Report” for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, revealing more details about the game.
Firstly, Morgana explains a little bit about Sapporo, the largest city in the northern island of Hokkaido. There, the gang meets Mariko Hyodo (voice: Kyoko Terase), a local politician who suddenly gained a large amount of support. She also seems to know Haru.
As can be seen in the video above, the Jail for Sapporo is a frozen wonderland, with ice walls and even snowboarding. Nonetheless, players can warm up if they find the right ways to interact with the environment.
Next, the video discusses how Personas can be powered up. Much like the original RPG, Joker is “Wild” and can acquire other Personas to use in battle (represented by the floating masks that are sometimes dropped). Should he acquire one he already has, it will be converted into points which can make his other Personas stronger.
These “Persona Points” can be spent to increase a Persona’s level. Players can also use Skill Cards to teach new abilities to their Personas. In addition, the Persona Fusion mechanic from the RPG returns, granting the new Persona various bonuses depending on the Personas used in the fusion.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is launching February 20th, 2020 in Japan for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
