Persona 5 R Domain Update Points to Incoming Announcement

We previously reported on a potential enhanced re-release for Persona 5. Now, we’ve learned the enhanced port seems more likely to be the real deal.

We learned (via Persona Central) the company has moved the name server of the P5R.jp domain name back to their own servers. This means navigating to the domain now returns a HTTP 403 Forbidden Error, instead of the default landing page for their Japanese registrar, Onamae.

Previously, Atlus made the same pattern with other game announcements for titles like Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, as well as Catherine: Full Body.

As for when the announcement could happen – there’s a special for the Persona 5 animation coming on December 30th, as well as an announcement during the Persona Super Live concert next year.

We’ll keep you guys posted.
