Dengeki Playstation has the first details regarding the finally confirmed Persona 5, which is set for next year on Playstation 3.

The only imagery that we’ve gotten for the title so far is the above image, chairs with balls and chains attached to them. These chairs and chains are located at a senior high school. Both of these make up the key theme for Persona 5.

Dengeki describes it as a role playing game that showcases the message of cleansing yourself, overcoming the trials thrown at you, and breaking free from your chains. The game will stick to the series’ high school setting, but the overall feel and atmosphere will be completely different.

Finally, Atlus is promising that the game will give a new sense of realism, most notably having life-sized characters and a story tailor built from a new world, with new values.
