Atlus has confirmed that Persona 4 is really coming to the Playstation 3 as a Playstation 2 classic, and that it’s coming sooner than you may think. Previously, we reported on the ESRB rating and synopsis for the game being discovered, leading everyone to assume that it was definitely coming to the platform.
Now we have a solid release date – Persona 4 will be arriving on the Playstation Network next week, on April 8th, which Atlus confirmed in a press release to Niche Gamer. The game will cost $9.99, so just in case you didn’t buy a Playstation Vita and or Persona 4: Golden (the superior version), you can get your hands on it via a Playstation 3.
Since this is the Playstation 2 version of the game, it will naturally look a bit crummier on flat screen TVs (as it’s not remastered in high definition), and it will also feature the original voice actors for both Chie and Teddie. A fun fact – the classic version is launching three days before the protagonist arrives in Inaba, so if you grab it quick, you can play the game day by day, if you so choose.
