The fantasy series Peach Boy Riverside will premiere this upcoming July as part of the Summer 2021 anime season. A new PV was also released in anticipation of the series premiere.

Peach Boy Riverside began as a web manga in 2008 by creator Coolkyousinnjya who is also known for their original series Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. The series was adapted into a formal manga published by Kodansha in 2015 with artist Johanne.

Peach Boy Riverside is a fantasy series that follows the provincial princess Saltorine Aldike whose family rules a small kingdom in the countryside. After the kingdom is saved from a horde of oni by a mysterious traveler, the princess sets out on a journey.

“Saltorine Aldike, or Sari, is a bright, cheerful princess who wants to go on an adventure because she is bored of her tiny little castle in the countryside. One day, a hoard of vicious demons known as “Oni” come knocking on her doorstep, threatening the lives of everyone in the Kingdom. Thankfully, they are saved by a lone traveler named Kibitsu Mikoto who slays these monsters with a mysterious “Peach Eye.” Shocked by the dangers of the outside world, Sari decides to set off on a journey of her own. Little did she know that she would set in motion a chain of events that will come to determine the fate of this magical world.”

Princess Aldike will be voiced by Haruka Shiraishi who’s known for her roles as Asirpa in Golden Kamuy and Kirie Motoba in Himouto! Umaru-chan. The mysterious traveler Mikoto Kibitsu will be voiced by Nao Touyama who’s known for her roles as Lelei la Lalena in GATE and Elf in Goblin Slayer.

Jirou Saitou, Mao Ichimichi, Toshiki Masuda, and Megumi Toda also feature.
