Furry artists are the latest to enter the crosshair of the payment processor censors according to a recent Terms of Service for Fansly, a subscription platform for content creators.
According to a recent email, Fansly was compelled to change their ToS in order to appease “our payment processing partners”. The update also includes a suite of other “clarifications” around content such as hypnosis, wrestling, and drugs or alcohol.
I’m posting this bc there seems to be some pretty big changes to Fansly TOS but not everyone has received an email from compliance yet. The email states you have until June 28th to take down any content violating the updates. If you see any of my VODs going away this is why ☹️ pic.twitter.com/Ld1SjP64hv

Over the past several years (if not longer), payment processors have been throwing their weight around to censor content on sites such as Patreon and Steam. They’ve even caused problems for Japanese sites like Pixiv and DLsite.
The intention behind these changes appears to be to prevent content which appears to circumvent consent, even if the situations are simulated or otherwise entirely fictional. The changes to the ToS even say as much when mentioning wrestling, saying that “even when consensual, content that simulates force, struggle, or non-consent violates our policies”.
Content creators are suggesting RPlay as an alternative, it’s worth mentioning that JAST Idols use the site as well.
