Payday 3 will allegedly require a constant internet connection (always-online) even for single player gaming sessions.
Almir Listo, the Lead Producer of Payday 2 spoke about the upcoming Payday 3 and answered some viewer questions.
Among those questions, was “Will Payday 3 have offline mode? Like playing solo?” to which Mr. Listo responded with:
“No, you will be able to play by yourself. But, I do believe you have to have a connection to play because it’s made in Unreal Engine, there’s cross-progression, cross-play. I do believe we need you to be online.”

Payday 3 is expected to launch in September 21, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
