Pax Dei leaves early access in October

Pax Dei

Publisher New Tales and developer Mainframe Industries announced a full release date for Pax Dei, their “social sandbox MMO” inspired by the medieval legends.

Pax Dei is set to leave early access on October 16th for Windows PC (via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store). The sandbox MMORPG was originally released in 2024.

“The feedback from our Early Access community has been invaluable in helping us evolve the game”, said Sulka Haro, Chief Product Officer at Mainframe Industries. “Our vision for Pax Dei has always been to create a living, breathing world shaped by players themselves. Now, as we open this new chapter, we invite everyone to join us in what marks the true beginning for Pax Dei.”

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:

Social Sandbox MMO

Pax Dei 1.0 is a social sandbox MMO – a vast, open-world playground offering thousands of players to band together, setting their own goals and crafting their own stories. From enjoying the peaceful life in the home valleys, where players can build their homes and focus on harvesting and crafting; to exploring the wilderness and deep dungeons in search of glory and bounty; to engaging in clan politics, whether via peaceful trade or PVP warfare: Pax Dei welcomes players of every type to join the community and be part of the stories about to take shape.

Pax Dei 1.0 will benefit from the multiple updates released during Early Access: Adventure Sites, Player-to-Player trading, Grace & Miracles, overhauled RPG system… The latest content update, Verse 4: Raiders of Lyonesse, introduced an expanded PVP area hosting unique resources required for Enchantment, a new crafting ability.

Pax Dei is a live game, and development will continue after 1.0, with new content already in production. This winter, Verse 5 will introduce Feudal Shrines: control points for Clans to fight over. Verse 6 will then bring Feudal Alliances, letting Clans join forces in both war and peace. Looking into 2026, the developer will focus on expanding other systems, starting with Grace and the economy.
