
Publisher Good Smile Company and developer Chime Corporation have announced PATLABOR the Case Files, a new 3D action game based on the beloved mecha series.
PATLABOR the Case Files is in development for Windows PC (via Steam) and PS5, though a release date wasn’t announced.
Core staff on the new game include: mecha designs by Yutaka Izubuchi (Mobile Police Patlabor, Patlabor: The Movie), a script by Kazunori Ito (Patlabor: The Movie, Patlabor: The Movie 2, etc), and character art/designs by Akemi Takada (Mobile Police Patlabor, Patlabor: The Movie).

STORY
Labors. The generic term for robots developed for industrial use. Widely adopted in construction and civil engineering, crimes involving Labors rapidly increased. The Metropolitan Police Department established the Special Vehicle Section 2 Patrol Labor Squadron to counter this threat. Thus the “Patlabor” was born.
