Palworld developer Pocket Pair and Bleach: Brave Souls developer KLab have both announced a new “hybrid-casual game.”
Both companies will co-develop and operate the new hybrid-casual game, for smartphones.
KLab notes a hybrid-casual game is a game model that “combines the simplicity of casual games with the mechanics of online games that can be played for longer periods of time to generate revenue from both in-game purchases and advertisements.”
While KLab will utilize their past experience in the development and operation of mobile online games focused on a global market, as well as its experience in running an adverstising revenue model, Pocket Pair will use its strength in planning and developing unique games.
Co-development on the game started back in 2020 after “numerous” prototypes and KPI tests, and is reportedly ready for commercialization.
