An Overwatch 2 player has allegedly been banned for seemingly positive comments they made while playing the game.

Perhaps fittingly, the Reddit post where they shared their story has been deleted due to mass reporting and has been submitted for “manual review”, the irony is palpable.

Luckily we have a screenshot of the user’s ban message courtesy of X (formerly Twitter) user Lo-Ping (GamingAndPandas) which you can see below.

What’s most surprising, is that Blizzard allegedly performed an “additional review” of the user’s behavior and explicitly had a problem with phrases like “gg”, “i respect the cass mirror”, “yipppeeee”, and more.

Of course an additional review doesn’t necessarily mean a manual review. Profanity aside, it’s hard to believe any reasonable person would take issue with most (if not any) of these phrases.
