Blizzard Entertainment have officially announced Overwatch 2.
In addition to the above announcement trailer, a gameplay trailer, and a “Story So Far” trailer were also revealed.
While some elements of the game were leaked (some months beforehand) some rumors have been disproven. For example, “skins, player icons, sprays, emotes, and more” will carry over from Overwatch to Overwatch 2. Further, players in Overwatch can “battle side-by-side with Overwatch 2 players in PvP multiplayer; they’ll also be able to play Overwatch 2 heroes and maps.”
