Outlast is Free for Playstation Plus Next Month

Outlast, the game that reportedly made someone faint during its E3 demo, is going to be free to play for Playstation Plus users next month on Playstation 4. The confirmation comes via the game’s official facebook page.

The first person survival horror game is developed by Red Barrels Games (a nod to the infamous explosive environmental hazards in games I assume), where you play as a man named Miles Upshur who is trapped inside of an insane asylum. Oh joy, this sounds like a really great time right? In true classic survival horror fashion, there is no real way of attacking your enemies, so throughout the game you’re virtually screwed.

Well, not really, as you have your trusty camera to help you see, as most of the asylum itself is completely dark, just because. Coming from this, you’ll have to use your camera’s night vision mode to sheepily wander around and try to find a way out alive. I’ve heard polarizing things about it from people who have played it on PC, but you can’t beat free – right?
