While we’ve known that Outlast II will be launching sometime this fall and that it won’t return to the setting of the original, developer Red Barrels Games recently took to Twitter to let slip new information for the upcoming sequel.
When asked by a fan if the game would return to the asylum, the Red Barrels reiterated previously known info on their Twitter with “No asylum this time around; we’re going for a new setting.”
However, they also said the game will take place “somewhat after” the events of the original. They also said that running and hiding is a focal, and un-avoidable, part of the experience yet again.
