Microsoft and Moon Studios have confirmed that Ori and the Blind Forest is getting a slight delay.
The game was previous set for a holiday 2014 release, but it’s being pushed into “early 2015” on PC and Xbox One. The metroidvania platformer got quite the reaction from the audience both in person and online when it was debuted at E3 this year, mostly for its gorgeous visuals.
To help clarify the need for the delay, developer Moon Studios made a post over on their official blog:
“While we’re extremely excited for all of you to get your hands on Ori and the Blind Forest as soon as possible, we made the decision together with our partners at Microsoft Studios that we’ll need just a little more time in order to add a final layer of polish to – what we hope – will be an unforgettable gaming experience.”
The Xbox 360 version of the game is reportedly coming sometime “later in 2015.”
