• Orcs Must Die! Unchained is Available via Early Access, Playable at PAX East

    Robot Entertainment are working on a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) spinoff for Orcs Must Die!, titled simply Orcs Must Die! Unchained.

    Just like other MOBA games, matches in Orcs Must Die! Unchained are split up into two teams competing for domination over a map. The teams themselves are made up of five players each, and Robot Entertainment is bringing somewhat of a fresh take on the genre in having the perspective be from a third person angle, and encouraging players to use traps more often.


    Orcs Must Die! Unchained is going to be free to play, but Robot Entertainment CEO Patrick Hudson said that the company is carefully balancing the way the game itself pans out, despite it being completely free to play. In the game, you’ll also be able to command your minions, making them focus on specific lanes, instead of pathfinding to the next point of interest.

    While the game is now available via Early Access on its official website, and if you’re at PAX East this weekend, you can play it on the show floor.
