Open Beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ Set for January 14 to 16, 2018

Bandai Namco has announced an open beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The new beta will run from January 14th at midnight Pacific / 3 AM eastern and run through January 16th at the same time. If you pre-order the game, you’ll get early access to the beta on January 13th.

Alongside the news of the beta is an English version of the Jump Festa 2018 trailer we previously reported on, which shows off the previously confirmed fighters with the recently confirmed Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black.

Here’s a new batch of screenshots focusing on the new characters:

Dragon Ball FighterZ is launching across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 26th in North America and Europe. In case you missed it – we recorded exclusive, hands-on gameplay for the game, complete with our commentary on how it plays and feels. You can find that here.

I’ll be playing this beta and giving it a shot, but I’m still not buying it until everything is on the disc like it should be.

I’m waiting on dataminers to find out if stuff was actually done, but cut. Because as unlikely as it might seem there is a fairly decent possibility that Namco just decided to fund the DLC as soon as development was getting close to finishing(hence the quick announcement).

I’m also looking forward to the data-mining. It would tell me everything I need to know.

I played the closed beta, so I won’t bother with this one, but if nothing else at least the gameplay is fun, so enjoy. Still not buying the game though. Knowing previous ArkSys releases it may take several years for the full game to come out.

I doubt this beta will influence the final game in any way, so this will be more of a limited demo to generate hype.
