Namco Bandai has confirmed that One Piece: Unlimited World Red is coming to not just the 3DS, but to the Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, and Wii U as well.

The game originally released on the 3DS in Japan later last year, but it’s set for a release in North America and Europe later this year. While the Playstation 3 and 3DS versions will be hitting retailers across both territories, the Vita and Wii U versions are download only, unfortunately.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red is described as an action-adventure RPG, and it was developed by Japanese studio Ganbarion. You’ll experience the life of a pirate, while getting into exciting battles, crazy situations, and recruiting powerful friends.

Mastering the fighting system will be key to winning, as you’ll fight familiar bosses like Rob Lucci, Crocodile, Caesar Clown, among others. There will even be co-op gameplay that lets up to four players team up to defeat their opponents, or goof off with some mini-games that cover a broad range of activities from bug-catching to fishing.

Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Namco Bandai Games America, had this to say regarding the new announcement:

“Namco Bandai Games has been a proud publisher of One Piece games for many years, and with the astonishing global popularity of the manga series and support of the devoted fans, we are thrilled to be localizing One Piece: Unlimited World Red for the Americas”
