It seems like Amiibo support is becoming more widespread, as we’ve learned (via Game Jouhou) that One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X will be the latest game to accept the figurines.

Amiibo support will be coming to the game some time this winter, in a post-launch patch. The patch will unlock various costumes for Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy when paired with certain Amiibos.

Specifically, the Mario and Luigi Amiibos were demonstrated as unlocking new constumes for Luffy; Zoro will get a Link costume if paired with the Amiibo; and Sanji will be able to make use of a Fox McCloud costume.

One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X has been available since November 13th in Japan.
