Japanese developer Happymeal have announced OMEGA 6, a new retro sci-fi adventure game based on Takaya Imamura’s manga OMEGA 6.

OMEGA 6 will launch for Nintendo Switch in Japan, though a release date wasn’t announced.

The game has Takaya Imamura at the helm – mostly known for being the main artist behind the F-ZERO and Star Fox series as writer, character design, and art director.

Imamura left Nintendo after 30+ years back in 2021 and released OMEGA 6 later in 2022. The game is being developed by Happymeal while art and graphics are being done by Imamura.

Fans can expect the new game to feature a totally original storyline from the manga including new characters alongside original protagonists Thunder and Kyla. It is a text-based adventure but will include battle systems and other unique features.
