Gunzilla Games shared a new cinematic trailer for Off The Grid during the Future Games Show 2022, showing off the new shooter from District 9 director Neill Blomkamp.

Off The Grid is an upcoming battle royale title with a strong emphasis on narrative storytelling and narrative progression. The story of Off The Grid is so important to the game that it will also have a companion, in-world documentary – setting the stage of the game and fleshing out the world.

The documentary series will feature 8 short episodes that help to lay the foundation of, not just the in-game mechanics, but also the lore, characters, and world of Teardrop.

The game has to play as a “Zero” a mechanically enhanced mercenary fighting on behalf of one of three megacorporations: Kardashev, Cascadia, and Mriya. Combat pans out as a PVPVE game, with 150 players fighting against each other. The story missions will be standard PVE, while other players fight on the same map as you.

Off The Grid is in development for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 with Unreal Engine 5, and has a release set for 2023.
