A new revelation has put a light on Oculus founder Palmer Luckey, adding to his list of eccentric qualities – like arguing with customers on Reddit, and even cosplaying.

Now, a new report by The Daily Beast has confirmed Luckey as not just a Donald Trump supporter, but a literal financier of memes.

Luckey admitted to secretly funding a pro-Trump political organization titled Nimble America.

This “social welfare 501(c)4 non-profit” group operates mostly on the subreddit r/The_Donald, where Luckey posted under the pseudonym “NimbleRichMan.”

What did the majority of this group’s output look like? Like the above meme, which the group reportedly had posted just outside the city of Pittsburgh.

“It’s something that no campaign is going to run,” Luckey said regarding the billboards run by the group.

Luckey claims that he just supplies money to the group. “I’ve got plenty of money,” Luckey said. “Money is not my issue. I thought it sounded like a real jolly good time.”

“The American Revolution was funded by wealthy individuals,” Luckey wrote as NimbleRichMan.

“The same has been true of many movements for freedom in history. You can’t fight the American elite without serious firepower. They will outspend you and destroy you by any and all means.”
