Joe Thompson Ravenwood is a 40-year-old man going through a difficult time. After a recent divorce, he moves to Echo’s Cliffside, a quiet town far from the chaos of his old life. Everything changes one rainy night when he meets a strange glowing creature who claims to be a fairy—one that feeds on something called “Heartboud Essence”: the invisible warmth carried by objects that once meant something to someone.
Along the way, Joe will cross paths with other unique characters:
- Jiro Matsuda, a japanese grumpy retired animation director.
- Maya Matsuda, his kind but distant daughter.
- Elliot, the neighbors’ strange son.
- Captain Hardog, an aggressive street stray dog.
