Nordic Games have announced they’ve acquired the publishing duties for Airship Syndicate’s love-letter to classic Japanese RPGs – Battle Chasers: Nightwar.

The new partnership will ensure that Airship Syndicate can add in more 2D animations, more regions, and full voice acting for the Kickstarter-funded game – which is set to release across PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

It’s worth mentioning these new additions were stretch goals for the game’s Kickstarter campaign, which despite raising over $850,000, didn’t make the last three goals. Featured above, you can view a new trailer released to celebrate the partnership.

“I had gotten to know the guys at Nordic shortly after they acquired the Darksiders license,” said Airship Syndicate president and Battle Chasers: Nightwar lead designer Ryan Stefanelli.

“After the Kickstarter campaign closed, we started to talk with them about acting as a co-funder and publisher to help us reach some of the stretch goals we’d narrowly missed out on. Doing so is going to be great for our fans and backers, and also allows us as a studio to focus on game development more than publishing.”

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is set to launch across PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One “at the end of 2016.”
