This week’s Famitsu (also via Hachima) has Koei Tecmo revealing the latest in the Nobunaga’s Ambition series.
The new game, subtitled Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi, is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. With development currently 20% complete, a release is set for sometime this winter in Japan.
The game’s subtitle “Taishi” roughly translates to will or aspiration, meaning the focus will be put on the command of each warlord. Koei Tecmo is upping the ante with more detailed 3D maps, with the nationwide maps seeing 100-fold detail increase.
This expands by having each campaign switching up for each warlord, as they all have their own behavior and day to day life. The various tactics and commands you can utilize will also be affected by this.
Koei Tecmo is promising more robust AI for your rival daimyo (warlord), and there will be a similar number of warlords in comparison to the previous game, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension, which had over 2,000 warlords.
