No More Heroes Nintendo Switch Port Leaked by Taiwanese Ratings Board

No More Heroes

Taiwan’s game ratings board has leaked a Nintendo Switch port of Grasshopper Manufacture’s No More Heroes.

Taiwan’s Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs (also acting as their game ratings board) has posted a listing for No More Heroes on Nintendo Switch. No official announcement has come for the 2008 game coming to that platform, having originally been on the Wii, and later on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise.

No release date is listed, but a link to the game’s Japanese website may indicate it will be based off the Wii version. As the website lists “violence,” and the rating as 18+ (based on the home-page), it is entirely possible it will be the uncensored version of the game, as opposed to the European censored version (at least in Taiwan).

The game’s publisher is listed as Marvelous. They also published the original game in Japan and other Asian regions; with Ubisoft publishing in North America, and Rising Star Games in Europe. Heroes’ Paradise was published by Konami outside of Japan.

As No More Heroes III is set to come to Nintendo Switch in 2020, it makes sense the game could act as a way to introduce newcomers to the series. It would also stand to reason No More Heroes II could come to the platform at some point. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is already available on Nintendo Switch.

This is the second time this year the Taiwan game rating board has leaked a game; with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time being revealed by them. Nintendo have also suffered their fair share of leaks this year; including Pokemon Sword and Shieldand a Lego Nintendo Entertainment System set.

The biggest leak was Nintendo’s plans for the Super Mario 35th AnniversaryThese included remasters of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. The rumor also claimed there would be a “deluxe” version of Super Mario 3D World, and a new Paper Mario (later revealed as The Origami King).
