No More Heroes 3 Won’t Be Happening for At Least 15 Years, Says Creator Suda51

We’ve learned that No More Heroes 3 is still on creator Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda’s mind, however, it won’t be coming any time soon.

In an interview with GameReactor, Suda51 jokingly claimed that No More Heroes 3 would be made within “15-25” years.

From the interview:

“Yeah, No More Heroes 3, I get a lot of requests from fans and I’m very grateful for that, but I’m thinking it may happen within 15 years or so? (laughs). Maybe not through Kickstarter, but GungHo would of course be supportive if that were to happen. I think I have the vision that Travis forgot something, so I really have to have him to go back and get back what he has forgotten. But yeah, I definitely want to make it possible, but I also want to create something new, so maybe within 15 to 25 years (laughs)!”

Despite his tone not being serious, this might not be entirely far fetched, seeing as how No More Heroes 2 was a commercial failure. Regardless, fans shouldn’t be expecting the game to come out anytime soon.

I put the failure of No More Heroes 2 down to the fact that nobody even knew it existed

Playing as a middle aged, bitter/cynical, balding, still pervy Travis would be awesome.

I really didn’t enjoy the first game, but I hope fans of the series get their sequel.

I love NMH but NMH2 sucked, it ruined the perfect ending of the first game and to me it felt like fan fiction, just an unnecessary sequel. I doubt Suda will go back to NMH, he seems to be very reserved now and he hasn’t directed a game since NMH. It also doesn’t help that Masafumi Takada has left Grasshopper and his music is one of the key ingredients of Suda’s games.

NMH1 and 2 are the only games that I enjoyed using the wiimote with, so a sequel without spinning it super fast to win clashes and all that wouldn’t be the same but damn, I would love NMH3 anyway
    one of my favorite franchises

Well I hope Suda comes out with something good soon because after he killed Lily Burgamo and announced Let It Die, I was highly disappointed.

Let It Die is dead to me. -_-

I didn’t like 2 as much as I liked 1 and Suda seems to be losing his edge, but hey, if it shows up I’ll pick it up.

Loved NMH1 but NMH2 was kind of dull. If Suda does make a NMH3 I hope he’s has more passion for it then.

Well yeah, it’s certainly better having Suda working on free to play games instead of this… yes… sigh.
