The controversy surrounding the misleading advertisement campaign for No Man’s Sky has reached a new boiling point. As confirmed via Eurogamer, the Advertising Standard Authority UK has begun an investigation into No Man’s Sky.

The investigation began after the organization received a large amount of complaints regarding the game’s Steam page, which many believe contains footage and assets that grossly misrepresent the game.

No more details were given as the investigation is still underway; there is, however, a Reddit post from one of the complainants that details the response they were given by the ASA, as well as a list of the various aspects that the Steam page misrepresents.

While this investigation is specifically geared toward the game’s Steam page, any ruling here will also affect all of No Man’s Sky other promotional material, including any YouTube videos and Sony-based ads.
