No Man’s Sky Fifth Anniversary is Teasing a New Frontiers Update

No Man's Sky Fifth Anniversary

The No Man’s Sky fifth anniversary is teasing a new Frontiers update, news confirmed in a new trailer by developer Hello Games.

“In some ways it is just another update, but in other ways it’s a missing piece of the sci-fi fantasy that we’ve always wanted to add, and very fitting for our fifth anniversary,” game director and Hello Games founder Sean Murray said over on the PS Blog.

He added, “There is still a lot we want to try, so much we are still excited for. The next step on that journey is not far off. We’ll have more to share on Frontiers with travellers very soon.”

The fact that the No Man’s Sky fifth anniversary is teasing a new Frontiers update makes sense as the developer has been aggressively adding huge chunks of content to the game, the latest teased at the end of a new trailer.

Here’s a new trailer for the update:

The game’s most recent update, Prisms, adding lots of visual improvements to the game like reflections, fur, refractions, better rain and weather, and more – read more about that here in our previous report.

No Man’s Sky is currently available for Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X+S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
