Team Ninja have added a Photo Mode to Nioh 2, and have announced new DLC for the game- The Tengu’s Disciple.
As stated on the PlayStation Blog by Team Ninja’s Creative Director Tom Lee, the game’s update has launched today, adding a Photo Mode. This will include settings such as image exposure, gradation, lighting & tint adjustments, and filters.
The update will also bring nine new missions across the Sub-missions and Twilight missions. The developers also state that they “will vigorously pay close attention to your feedback and continue to provide updates when we are able.”
The DLC plans include three batches over the next several months; with new storylines, yokai, bosses, Guardian Spirits, skills, armor, weapons that “alters the performance of skills outside of set stances,” difficulty levels, and end-game content.
The first DLC pack is The Tengu’s Disciple. Only a small hint was given as to to “the storyline of the continuing Nioh 2 saga.”
“A great battle has taken place at Yashima in the late Heian period. As a visitor in Yashima, our protagonist finds a shrine possessing a mysterious whistle called the Sohayamaru. Upon inspection, the whistle shines radiantly as the shadow of Yokai can be seen lurking in the background. It is revealed that whenever wars take place, heroes wielding the Sohayamaru will head into battle in order to restore peace back into this land.”
More details regarding the DLC will be announced at a later date. The Tengu’s Disciple DLC will launch July 30th.
