• Nintendo wants smooth transition from Switch to next console with Nintendo Accounts

    While the long-rumored Nintendo Switch successor has yet to be announced – Nintendo has teased the new hardware in their latest shareholders roundtable.

    Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said they are prepping a path forward for Nintendo Accounts to be smoothly transitioned over to whatever their next console becomes.

    The company also noted there are over 290 million Nintendo Accounts across both Switch consoles and mobile devices.

    The Switch has been available worldwide since March 2017, and the newer OLED Nintendo Switch has been available since October 2021.
