Nintendo has sold over four million Nintendo Switch consoles in Japan.
The news comes via Famitsu’s sales tracker, which has been updated to reflect over four million of the hybrid consoles being sold in the region as of last week.
Famitsu noted the console sold roughly 52,000 units in Japan last week, pushing it beyond the four million unit mark since its launch in March of last year (at roughly 56 weeks in sales). The rate at which the console has sold units is similar to the Wii, which sold four million units in 54 weeks.
The Nintendo Switch is now available worldwide, for $299.
