Nintendo has announced they’ll be hosting a test for a new, unannounced Nintendo Switch Online feature later this month.
Starting tomorrow, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers will be able to apply for the network test for a seemingly new feature for the online service starting tomorrow, October 10th at 11 AM Eastern and registration will end on October 15th at 10:59 AM Eastern.
To qualify for the new test, you have to meet the following criteria:
- You must have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership as of .
- You must be at least 18 years of age as of .
- Your Nintendo Account must be registered to one of the following countries: Japan, The United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, or Spain.
Applicants everywhere but Japan will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis but if Japanese applicants hit their limit they’ll select applicants by lottery.
The actual network test for this new Nintendo Switch feature won’t come until later this month, on October 23rd at 9 PM Eastern through November 5th at 7:59 PM Eastern.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is part of the new subscription tier that launched in October 2021. It adds classic Nintendo 64 games, Sega Genesis games, and Game Boy games to Nintendo’s online service.
