Following the news that Nintendo is releasing a dockless Nintendo Switch in Japan, western audiences were curious if the cheaper and more portable-focused Switch would get a release outside their native country.
Now, we’ve learned (via USGamer) that Nintendo isn’t considering a western release for the cheaper unit. The company said they “have no plans to release this configuration in the Americas.”
For now, if you want a cheaper Nintendo Switch, you’ll need to import one of these from the Japanese My Nintendo Store. Considering the Switch is region free, you’ll just have to consider the price difference in shipping.
